The stunning island of Qeshm dubbed the "jewel of the Persian Gulf," is home to the “Chandel House” eco-lodge in Iran's Hormozgan province. For those who come to the stunning Qeshm island for adventure and to see sights, this eco resort offers short-term, reasonably priced lodging.
This building's design is inspired by southern Iran's traditional architectural style. This vernacular architecture is straightforward, unadorned, functional, and takes climate into account. It is identified by a long wind tower that serves as a symbol of the mansion, made of durable Chandel wood. Derived from Iran's traditional architecture, the wind tower, also known as a wind catcher, is a useful invention that has been used for many years in the central and southern regions of Iran and some Arabic countries. This climatic architectural element leads cool air into interior spaces and extracts hot air from them in the summer and spring seasons.
This 285-square meter ecological lodging has two VIP master suites and three standard rooms spread across two floors. To meet the needs of guests, Chandal House eco-tourism complex simply needs a small kitchen for meal preparation and cooking, a semi-open dining area shaded by cloth, a small yard with a fountain, a green garden, and palms. This eco-lodge allows guests to enjoy their time in the suitable weather with a covered seating area with Chandal Woods shade and a barbecue. Two cars can be parked in the yard simultaneously.
